As pioneers in the field, we develop drywall systems that combine sustainability, cost efficiency and practical usability – for a construction method that meets the demands of our time.
Our response to the growing demand for low-carbon building materials is the development of forward-looking, resource-efficient solutions.
We rely on materials that offer measurable environmental benefits – while also being easy to handle. Our systems help contractors, architects, and project developers achieve their sustainability goals and explore new approaches in construction – reliably, cost-effectively, and in a way that works in everyday construction work.
Innovation, efficiency, sustainability, reliability and practicality are the principles that guide our work. As equal partners, we work together to create construction projects that deliver added value – for our clients and for a future-oriented approach to construction.
Andreas Ridder and Michael Sommer founded SORIWA in 2023. These two seasoned industry experts bring together over 30 years of experience in the wood and building materials industry and have set out to revolutionize drywall construction with innovative, sustainable solutions. Their vision is to develop a “green wall” composed entirely of sustainable materials. From the studs and insulation to the sheathing, everything is designed to be made from resource-efficient solutions that set a new standard for eco-friendly construction and shape the future of drywall construction in a sustainable way.
We want to develop systems that are environmentally sustainable without becoming a source of additional costs or effort for designers and tradespeople. Our vision is a construction method that is economical, practical, and circular – moving away from the linear “raw materials in, waste out” model toward a closed-loop material cycle.
Michael Sommer (Managing Director)
We are only just getting started. The Multi-System is just the beginning but development continues with new components, research partners and pilot projects. We want to show that resource-efficient construction is not a compromise, but a step forward.
Andreas Ridder (Managing Director)
At SORIWA, we are rethinking drywall construction – and taking responsibility for the needs of tomorrow’s construction industry. Our mission is to provide innovative, sustainable, and forward-thinking solutions for drywall construction. With a focus on quality, cost efficiency, and circular construction, we aim to drive resource-efficient development.
Our vision is to develop a new type of drywall system – a “green wall” made entirely of resource-efficient materials, from the studs and insulation to the finishing panels. Our goal is to set a new standard with this system – technically advanced, recyclable, and forward-thinking.
With our Multi-layer fibre profiles made from recycled cellulose – the SORIWA Multi Profiles – we are already setting a clear example today: moving away from finite raw materials and toward circular material cycles. As a result, the SORIWA Multi Profiles offer a high-performance alternative to traditional steel profiles or wood framing in drywall construction – while also demonstrating strong environmental responsibility.
