A drywall profile without steel –

could it be the right solution for your construction project?

The SORIWA Multi Profile: Familiar installation methods, innovative material solution.

SORIWA offers a new drywall profile for non-load-bearing interior construction - completely steel-free. The multi-layered profile is made of recycled cellulose and can be cut, stapled, and installed using standard tools - no flying sparks, reduced risk of injury. The profiles are dimensionally stable and easy to install. The EPD documents the carbon footprint - and installation can be carried out as part of standard construction site processes without any changes.

The SORIWA Multi Profile
More than just a profile – an innovative alternative to steel and wood

The SORIWA Multi Profile can be installed in two different systems. Choose the system that best suits your project and discover the possibilities:

In the SORIWA Multi-System, SORIWA products replace the entire stud framework of a drywall partition. In addition to the SORIWA Multi Profile, the SORIWA Connector and the SORIWA Core are also used to create a closed, steel-free system.

In the SORIWA Hybrid System, the SORIWA Multi Profiles replace only the conventional stell C-studs, while the U-tracks and UA-profiles remain made of steel. The SORIWA Multi Profiles are designed for precise installation and are therefore compatible with standard drywall steal profiles. This allows up to 80% of the steel in a wall construction to be replaced.

For construction companies and tradespeople, what matters is what works on the job site: quick installation, reliable materials, and smooth processes. With SORIWA Multi Profiles, we offer a proven drywall system that combines material efficiency, ease of use, and practical technical performance—for professional interior finishing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SORIWA Multi Profile is classified as building material class E in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1 and is therefore approved for use in interior construction in Germany.
In tested wall constructions with double sheathing using a gypsum board (GKB) or fiber-reinforced gypsum board (GKF), fire resistance classes EI30 and EI60 according to DIN EN 13501-2 are achieved, depending on the design.

Yes, that’s no problem at all. You can easily choose the position of the cable opening yourself – just drill a hole in the desired spot using a hole saw. Make sure to leave a gap of about 30 cm between the opening and the floor or ceiling, and about 1 cm between the opening and the edge of the profile.
The stability and structural integrity of the SORIWA Multi Profiles have been tested for the following cutout sizes. This results in the following maximum cutout sizes:

SORIWA Multi Profile 50 = Cutout ≤ 28×50 mm; Drill hole Ø 20 mm
SORIWA Multi Profile 75 = Cutout ≤ 53×75 mm; Drill hole Ø 53 mm
SORIWA Multi Profile 100 = Cutout ≤ 78×100 mm; Drill hole Ø 70 mm

Another advantage: Our profiles have no sharp edges. This not only protects pipes, cables, and other components from damage, but also keeps workers’ hands safe during installation.
